Between September 8–11, 2025, the IEEE International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 2025) took place in Osaka, Japan — one of the most significant scientific events dedicated to the latest advancements in biometrics.

The project entitled “Detection and analysis of online fraud promoted on social media platforms” headed by Dr. Ewelina Bartuzi-Trokielewicz has received funding from the National Centre for Research and Development in the 15th edition of the LIDER Program. Organized continuously since 2009, the Program supports young scientists in building their own research teams.

An international consortium led by the NASK Research Institute will spend nearly 8 million euros for the development of innovative technologies to combat cyber threats. AIPITCH is a project aimed at achieving greater efficiency in identifying threats in cyberspace.

An AI assistant based on the PLLuM Polish language model is now available to Internet users. The model is designed to reflect the complexity of the Polish language, as well as to be free of harmful content and disinformation. NASK was part of the consortium that worked on the model, and is now taking on the role of project leader.
