Architectural accessibility:
The building at Kolska 12, 01-045 Warszawa
The building is adapted for people with physical disabilities. There are 2 entrances to the building, from Kolska Street (main entrance) and from Spokojna Street. The main entrance allows free entry of wheelchairs. Near the main entrance there are 2 parking spaces for the disabled. Upon entering the building there is a reception desk. Further passage is secured by gates, through which a person in a wheelchair can pass. Corridors and rooms on all floors of the building are accessible to wheelchair users. There are two elevators in the building. The elevator doors are automatic sliding doors. Visual and audible signaling allows for easy identification of the elevator, any visual markings used are accompanied by an equivalent voice message indicating the position of the cabin. The elevator cab button panel is located on the left side of the cab, at a height of about 1 m distance from the floor. Buttons in the elevator are clearly visible, high-contrast, approximately 20 mm in diameter, additionally marked in Braille, acceptance of the call is signaled by their illumination. A toilet for the disabled is located on the first floor, near the reception desk. It is possible to enter the building and all its rooms with an assistance dog and a guide dog. An induction loop is installed in the building. There is no contrast or enlarged print signage in the building for the blind and visually impaired. An online Polish Sign Language (PJM) interpreter is available at the reception desk and elsewhere. The service is available during NASK business hours. The service is free of charge for Deaf people.
