AI Safety Research Center



Our research centers on AI safety. We develop algorithms and AI systems for classification, pattern recognition, forecasting, decision support, and multimedia content generation. We develop and design new machine learning methods, explainable by design. We conduct national and international research projects. We produce open-source software libraries. We publish research results in reputable scientific journals and popularize knowledge about artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Department of Audiovisual Analysis and Biometric Systems
We conduct research on biometric verification and identity identification methods. We develop new methods of biometric recognition. Our research also concerns information processing by deep learning methods and identity identification systems based on biometric characteristics.
Department of Linguistic Engineering and Text Analysis
We conduct research on algorithms and natural language processing systems. We are developing automatic document analysis systems, as well as research on stylometric classification of documents. This allows us to develop open computer tools for content analysis, including illegal content and sensitive data.
Department of Data Science
We develop systems for processing large data sets. We design decision support systems enabling data mining, clustering, classification, and forecasting. We develop methods and tools for analyzing links in networks, particularly focusing on cybersecurity, disinformation and illegal content.
Department of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medicine and Sensitive Data Analysis
We conduct research on algorithms and artificial intelligence systems in medicine. We produce prototype information systems to support operations, diagnostics, and medical data analysis.
Department of Security and Transparency of Artificial Intelligence
We conduct research on the security, explainability, and interpretability of fundamental models. We develop methods for generating, analyzing and auditing models, and develop methods and software to support their analysis. We support national and international research, popularization, and educational initiatives. We cooperate with critical initiatives related to the security and harmonization of artificial intelligence.
