Cybersecurity Research and Development Division
The dynamic development of cybercrime makes cybersecurity more important than ever. Therefore, at NASK SCIENCE, we develop modern and effective cybersecurity systems. We investigate and analyze cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities in information systems, developing methods to address them. We also develop methods to protect information and create software to analyze network traffic. We implement advanced mechanisms to detect already known and brand new vectors of attacks on network infrastructure.
Department of Network Security Systems
We work on cybersecurity and network control systems. We develop ICT data processing systems, systems for early detection and suppression of security incidents in IT/OT networks, and network traffic monitoring systems. We carry out national and international research and development projects.
Department of Cybersecurity
We perform security analyses, and detect software and hardware vulnerabilities, in particular in loT devices. We conduct research and develop tools and methods to support cybersecurity tasks. We also develop recommendations, methodologies and good practices. We conduct research on the effectiveness and reliability of trust and reputation management systems. We carry out national and international research projects, including those aimed at increasing the level of security of Internet users.
Department of Cyberthreats Analysis
We automate data acquisition, processing and analysis processes for the security of IT systems. We also create our own honeypot systems to obtain information on threats and develop IT threat analysis. We build and maintain databases of information on IT system vulnerabilities and methods of exploiting them. We carry out national and international research and development projects.
Department of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Cybersecurity
We analyze large data sets related to network security using advanced data processing techniques and machine learning. We investigate threats and attacks on telecommunications infrastructure. We develop predictive models to identify potential cyber threats, as well as techniques to secure the privacy of data during processing and analysis. We carry out international research projects in the area of cybersecurity.
Department of Technological and Social Aspects of Cybersecurity
The Department of Technological and Social Aspects of Cybersecurity conducts interdisciplinary research related to the human aspect of cybersecurity, studies social, psychological and technical aspects of cybersecurity, and researches the skills gap and the effectiveness of educational methods in cybersecurity. The team also collaborates with teams working on technological and social aspects of cybersecurity at the international level.
