International MIRANDA Project Consortium Meets at NASK Headquarters in Warsaw

07.10.2026

On 29–30 September 2026, NASK hosted an in-person meeting of the international MIRANDA project consortium at its headquarters at Kolska Street in Warsaw. The two-day event provided an opportunity to review the progress made so far, discuss the next stages of the project, and present a preliminary demonstration version of the platform currently under development.

During the meeting, consortium partners presented the progress achieved across the individual tasks outlined in the project work plan. Particular attention was given to the results of the technical work completed to date and to the next steps in the development of the MIRANDA platform.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was a presentation of the project and a preliminary demonstration of the platform’s architecture and core functionalities. Participants had the opportunity to review the current stage of the solution’s development, exchange feedback, and discuss the next steps to be undertaken by the consortium partners.

The demonstration version of the platform is being prepared for presentation to a wider audience during the IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing Technology and Science (CloudCom), which will take place in Paris on 27–30 October 2026. The conference will provide an opportunity to showcase the project’s progress to an international community of experts working in areas including cloud technologies and cybersecurity.

International Cooperation for Cybersecurity

Modern digital systems increasingly operate as part of complex and interconnected environments rather than as standalone solutions. They rely on multiple networks, devices, applications, cloud services, and data provided and processed by different organisations. This growing complexity creates new opportunities, while at the same time posing significant cybersecurity challenges.

The security of an entire system depends not only on its individual components, but also on the relationships and dependencies between them. A vulnerability in one element of the digital chain may affect the security of other parts of the ecosystem. This is why it is increasingly important to develop tools that enable more effective monitoring, analysis, and assessment of security across complex digital environments.

The MIRANDA project addresses these challenges through international collaboration and the development of solutions aimed at enhancing the security of modern digital systems. Regular consortium meetings provide an opportunity not only to assess progress towards the project’s objectives, but also to facilitate the direct exchange of knowledge and experience between the teams involved.

Two Days of Discussions and Knowledge Exchange

The meeting in Warsaw also provided an important opportunity for networking and collaboration. Face-to-face discussions enabled consortium partners to address ongoing project challenges, coordinate future activities, and exchange knowledge and experience among representatives of the organisations involved in the project.

The programme also included a formal dinner attended by Dr Radosław Nielek, Director of NASK, MIRANDA project consortium members, and invited guests. The dinner took place at Słoik restaurant at 11 Złota Street in Warsaw and provided an opportunity to continue discussions and strengthen cooperation between the partners in a less formal setting.

Hosting the consortium meeting at NASK headquarters provided another opportunity for the Institute to actively contribute to international research and development cooperation and to foster knowledge exchange in the fields of emerging technologies and cybersecurity.
