NASK implements doctoral and post‑doctoral e diplomas
NASK has launched the implementation of a system for issuing doctoral and post‑doctoral (habilitation) diplomas in electronic form (e‑diplomas), in line with national solutions based on the Electronic Diplomas Repository (RDE) and the POL‑on system.
This new solution represents another step toward the digitalization of processes related to the issuance, storage, and verification of graduation diplomas, as well as doctoral and habilitation diplomas, supplements, and copies.
E‑diplomas are electronic documents with full legal validity and are equivalent to paper documents. The process of issuing an e‑diploma includes preparing the document in the system, verifying its correctness, signing it by an authorized person, and registering it in the RDE. After this stage, the diploma becomes available to authorized recipients – including doctoral and habilitated degree holders – via, among others, the dyplomy.nauka.gov.pl portal or the mObywatel application.
The implementation of e‑diplomas brings multiple benefits, including the simplification of administrative procedures, enhanced document security, and the ability for institutions and employers to easily verify documents. The system also enables the issuance of copies (e.g., in foreign languages), document management, and integration with institutional IT systems.
The introduction of e‑diplomas for doctoral and post‑doctoral degrees aligns with nationwide efforts to digitize higher education and science, and prepares NASK for the mandatory registration of such documents in the Electronic Diplomas Repository.
