NASK SCIENCE scientists at conference on neurosurgery in oncology

29.10.2024

Dr. Konrad Ciecierski has become a member of the scientific committee of the conference “The place of neurosurgery in modern oncology”, which will be held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Nervous System Tumor Clinic of the National Institute of Oncology PIB in Warsaw. The conference will be held on November 7-8, 2024 in Warsaw.

In the conference program, Dr. Konrad Ciecierski will give a lecture titled “AI in the analysis of brain bioelectrical activity recording during microrecording.” During the talk, Dr. Ciecierski will point out the possibilities of using AI to analyze complex neurophysiological data, which can lead to better diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases. The conference will also feature Dr. Mateusz Korycinski, who will present the topic “Machine learning in brain tractography analysis.” Brain tractography is an imaging technique that allows visualization of neural connections in the brain. Using machine learning to analyze these images can help  planning precise neurosurgical procedures.

Modern medicine is increasingly taking advantage of the capabilities offered by artificial intelligence (AI). AI in medicine can be used for:

  • analyzing medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs,
  • diagnosing diseases,
  • predicting the effectiveness of treatment,
  • personalization of therapy,
  • assisting doctors and physicians in clinical decision-making.

We encourage you to register and participate in this free conference. Detailed information on the program and registration is available on the conference website.
