Research interests: linear algebra, numerical linear algebra, matrix analysis

Aikaterini Aretaki has graduated from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Greece and she has received her MSc in “Applied Mathematical Sciences” from the department of Mathematics of the same School of NTUA. In 2011, she was awarded a PhD in Mathematics from NTUA as a scholarship holder of the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) in Greece.

Her research interests focus on the fields of Linear and Numerical Linear Algebra and Matrix Analysis. She has served as a postdoctoral researcher at the departments of Mathematics and of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics in the University of Thessaly and also at the department of Mathematics in NTUA, conducting research in ​​the scientific fields of Linear and Numerical Linear Algebra, while lecturing courses in the same area. Her research work has received funding from ParICT_CENG, H.F.R.I. and “THALIS” research projects and also awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from Papakyriakopoulos foundation of NTUA in Greece.

She has authored twelve (12) refereed articles in international journals and eleven (11) papers in conference proceedings, while she has delivered contributed talks at eleven (11) international and nine (9) national conferences. She is a reviewer in the Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Linear Algebra and its Applications, Electronic Linear Algebra, Special Matrices, Wavelets and Linear Algebra and is a member of the International Linear Algebra Community (ILAS) and the Hellenic Mathematical Society.
