A passionate mathematician specializing in areas at the intersection of mathematics and computer science, with an emphasis on algebra in the broadest sense (linear, algebraic geometry, category theory, computer algebra). His doctoral research concerned methods of computational algebraic geometry in automated verification of logical models of tree-structured data transformations, and was conducted at the University of Warsaw as a research assistant in an ERC grant.
 
In addition, he sympathizes with functional analysis and measure theory (also worth mentioning is his unfulfilled love for differential analysis on manifolds).
 
Has one year of commercial experience as a developer of cash flow models at the headquarters of a Dutch insurer. Python fan. Currently focused on linear algebra and data analysis (e.g. RPCA, meta-factorizations).
 
Co-author of three publications in international journals in mathematics and computer science. Received the Best Paper Award at the MFCS 2020 computer science conference. As a student, received many awards at international mathematics competitions, including 1st Prize at the International Mathematics Competition for University Students 2015 and 2016.

Dr Janusz Schmude

Pasjonat i doktor nauk matematycznych, specjalizujący się w obszarach z pogranicza matematyki i informatyki, z naciskiem na szeroko pojętą algebrę (liniową, geometrię algebraiczną, teorię kategorii, algebrę komputerową). Napisał doktorat z metod obliczeniowej geometrii algebraicznej w automatycznej weryfikacji logicznych modeli transformacji danych o strukturze drzewa na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. Oprócz tego sympatyzuje z analizą funkcjonalną i teorią miary (warto także wspomnieć niespełnioną miłość do geometrii różniczkowej).
 
Ma za sobą rok doświadczenia komercyjnego, jako deweloper modeli przepływów pieniężnych w centrali holenderskiego ubezpieczyciela. Fan Pythona. Obecnie zajmuje się głównie algebrą liniową i analizą danych (np. RPCA, meta-faktoryzacja).
 
Współautor trzech publikacji w czasopismach międzynarodowych z matematyki oraz informatyki. Zdobywca Best Paper Award na konferencji informatycznej MFCS 2020 oraz wiele nagród na międzynarodowych konkursach matematycznych dla studentów, w tym 1st Prize na International Mathematics Competition for University Students 2015 oraz 2016.
